Those of you who live in Yorkshire will be aware of the importance of this invaluable life-saving charity.
Martin Williamson (@Cobbybrook) is a Yorkshire artist and a good friend of mine who paints some extremely beautiful images of Yorkshire and beyond.
When Martin asked if he could paint his own interpretation of one of my photographs of Malhamdale I was thrilled.
The photograph below was taken after a long hike from Malham over Hanlith Moor in Winter. It was this image that caught Martin's eye.
Martin didn't want to produce a carbon copy but instead add mood to his own work.
Below is Martin's painting using wax and ink:
You can see how Martin created this piece of artwork here:
Both of these images will be presented in a stylish pair of matching frames at Wentbridge House http://www.wentbridgehouse.co.uk/ on Yorkshire Day (August 1st 2013). By donating a minimum of £5 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity you will have the opportunity to own both the photograph and the painting. Alternatively you can donate straight to the charity via my justgiving page: http://www.justgiving.com/Nicky-BusbyYorkshireDay (All named donations via my justgiving page will be added to the prize draw).
At the end of the Yorkshire Day celebrations a name will be drawn from a hat by the hotel manager, Catherine Harrild and the winning person will be contacted.
I hope you will support Martin and I in raising as much money as we can for our favourite charity.
Hope to see you at Wentbridge House on Yorkshire Day to join in with the celebrations!
