My photo
Yorkshire, United Kingdom
I simply love Yorkshire and its magnificent scenery. Every season Yorkshire has something magical to offer. There's nothing better than getting my hiking boots on and disappearing into Yorkshire's superb countryside! I take my camera everywhere with me to ensure others can appreciate the many beautiful things that I see on my breathtaking walks. My photography has been featured on ITV Calendar, BBC Look North and has been published in The Yorkshire Ridings Magazine, The Yorkshire Dalesman, Country Walking Magazine and Countryfile magazine. Some of my images have been transformed into beautiful paintings by Yorkshire artists. At the end of 2013 I was selected to be the Face of Ordnance Survey. .....And then there was snow! - 4th February 2012

The weatherman said it would snow this afternoon, and he was right!

Being a big fan of the snow I decided to go for a stroll along the fly line from Garforth to Aberford in Leeds.  This is a very popular route for dog walkers, runners and cyclists.  The track is around three miles long and takes you through some beautiful woodland.

The woods provide a little shelter from the biting wind.

This is a lovely route in any weather but an inch or two of snow seems to make it look that little more picturesque!

My son striding on ahead down the snow covered fly line!

A simple five bar gate leading to the Parlington Estate looks so much more appealing in the snow!

Tree symmetry in snow.
